The pharmacist accused of stealing tens of thousands of doses of powerful opioids from IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital told state regulators Monday that he does not intend to practice again — then withdrew his license renewal application when the board split over whether to deny it.

The withdrawal means Christopher Knoth’s Indiana pharmacist license will remain expired and he cannot legally practice.
