Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has picked a new leader tasked with helping save the shrinking Great Salt Lake. 

Hannah Freeze, who most recently served as deputy of the state’s Office of the Great Salt Lake Commissioner, will replace former commissioner Brian Steed, who recently accepted a new job as Utah State University’s vice president of government and external relations.
