Jefferson County Clerk David Yates told lawmakers Tuesday that as a result of a review of registered voters’ information after a “clerical error” prevented a handful of voters from casting a ballot in the correct precinct, about 290 voters on the county line must now vote in Jefferson County rather than a surrounding county.
