FBI assists Baton Rouge authorities in landfill search for missing teen

The FBI Laboratory’s Technical Hazards Response Unit and Evidence Response Team Unit, along with experts from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Team Adam, have provided detailed intelligence to help narrow down the search area. Law enforcement teams are targeting a 0.64-acre zone containing approximately 8,260 cubic yards of material. The Technical Hazards Response Unit is providing safety, medical, hazmat, and logistical support to manage the hazardous conditions, while the Evidence Response Team Unit and local field office members utilize specialized tools to identify, collect, and preserve evidence.
