Mizzou track and field struggled to find much success on Day 4 of the NCAA West Regional First Round on Saturday in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Needing to finish in the top 12 for a spot in the next round, Mizzou's Ames Burton placed 32nd in discus with a distance of 136 feet, 1 inch.Â
High jumper Marlena Tresnjo struggled in her NCAA Championship debut, finishing tied for 42nd with a mark of 5-7¼.
Distance runner Monica Wanjiku finished the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16 minutes, 19.44 seconds, to finish in 28th place.
The 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championship Final starts on June 10 in Eugene, Oregon. Mizzou long thrower Sam Innes, javelin specialists Valentina Barrios and Skylar Ciccolini and runners Elijah Limo and Joshua Allison are all set to compete for national titles.
