LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- Sam Burns (-3) finished in second place at the 126th U.S. Open.

The Shreveport native was even par for the tournament and in a tie for sixth place at the start of his final round. He was seven shots back of the leader and eventual winner Wyndham Clark (-4) at Shinnecock Hills.
