MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Magnolia Regional Medical Center is officially part of the Baptist Health system following a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Monday to mark the transition.
The 25-bed hospital, now renamed Baptist Health Medical Center-Magnolia, became the 14th hospital in the Baptist Health network. The transition officially took effect Sunday.
Hospital leaders, local officials and community members gathered Monday to celebrate the partnership, which Baptist Health leaders say will strengthen access to healthcare in Magnolia and surrounding communities.
"Today marks an exciting new chapter for both Baptist Health and the Magnolia community," Baptist Health President and CEO Troy Wells said. "We are honored to officially bring Magnolia Regional Medical Center into our healing ministry. Together, we will strengthen access to high-quality care and ensure this hospital remains a vital cornerstone of health and wellness for generations to come."
The hospital offers a range of services, including emergency care and specialized outpatient treatments.
William Giles, president of Baptist Health Medical Center-Magnolia, said joining the Baptist Health system will provide patients with access to expanded clinical resources while allowing them to continue receiving care close to home.
"Bringing Magnolia Regional Medical Center into the Baptist Health system is a milestone that directly benefits the patients in this region," Giles said. "By combining Magnolia's deep-rooted dedication with our system's expansive clinical resources, we are advancing the standard of healing and ensuring patients receive exceptional services right here at home."
The transition completes an acquisition process that began in April. Baptist Health officials said the goal was to ensure a seamless transition for patients, caregivers and the communities served by the hospital.
