TEXARKANA, Ark. - The nonprofit Communities Unlimited has a mission to serve underserved and rural communities.

Some programs offered include broadband services, emergency funding, an infrastructure team that works with water and wastewater systems, a community sustainability team, entrepreneurship consultations and small business loans up to $200,000, said
Community Resource Manager Chloe Keahey.

The Communities Unlimited housing program also offers home improvement loans up to $3,500.

"They are installed through 24 monthly payments, and basically what they are is to help with whatever it is that you may need," said Keahey. "So, I know on the flyer it says HVAC, leaks, or things like that, but $3,500 can go a long way for somebody. So, that's what we're here to do is be that connector between someone who might be completely unlivable, to now, my housing has a little bit of something, so I can get going."
