RICHLAND PARISH, La. — Meta announced it is expanding its artificial intelligence-optimized data center in Richland Parish to 5 gigawatts in compute capacity, making it the largest facility in the company's fleet.

The expansion represents an investment of more than $50 billion in the region, which will house Hyperion, Meta's largest multi-gigawatt AI training cluster. The project is projected to support more than 7,500 jobs at peak construction and 1,000 operational roles once completed. Additionally, a utility agreement with Entergy Louisiana is expected to save customers $2.65 billion over 20 years.
