(The Center Square) – Shreveport could expand the Police Department's use of drones to respond to 911 calls after a pilot program put the aircraft on scene before officers about 71% of the time.

City Council members are now weighing how to pay for the drones and the personnel needed to operate them, with Public Safety Committee Chairman Grayson Boucher saying some council members are interested in finding funding for the program.
