SHREVEPORT, La. - As we approach the 250th anniversary of America, KTBS 3/KPXJ CW 21 continues to celebrate this history of our nation.

One vote. Passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920 gave women the right to vote. But women of color had to wait another 45 years for the Voting Rights Act to become law for their chance to vote.
