BOSSIER PARISH, La. — A precautionary boil advisory has been issued for all customers served by the West Central Bossier Water System following a power failure at the main treatment plant during a storm Tuesday night.

The outage caused a critical drop in water pressure throughout the network. System officials stated that the facility's generator repeatedly switched between commercial utility power and backup power during the severe weather. This frequent cycling damaged electrical fuses and caused the system to lose pressure twice, with the issues beginning around 9 p.m.
