SHREVEPORT, L.a - The $6 million bond for a man accused of making online threats to Caddo Parish elected officials remains for now following a delay granted during a court hearing Wednesday morning.Â
Jhaydrian Green, 42, was in court to seek a bond reduction. However, he told Caddo District Judge John Mosely he had not received all of the evidence from prosecutors.
Green accused the Caddo Correctional Center of withholding the evidence, and Mosley said he would make a phone call to ensure Green receives it.
Green is charged with cyberstalking, hate crimes, terrorizing, drug possession and two counts of public intimidation. Prosecutors allege Green posted on Facebook that a LGBTQ person "should be shot in the face."
Ivy Woodard, public information officer for the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office, said Green admitted making some of the statements but said he never intended to harm anyone.
Green tried earlier in the week to have Mosely removed from his case. But that was unsuccessful.Â
Green's next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 26.
On a somewhat related topic on Thursday, the district attorney's office is hosting a cyberstalking workshop for those wanting to gain more information on how to combat the growing problem of online threats.
"They're going to tell you what to look for if you're being stalked, what procedures you need to take, and who to call," Woodard said.
The workshop will be Safety Town on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
