BOSSIER CITY, La. - Margaret Sue Festerhaven Hall marked a major milestone Friday, celebrating her 100th birthday surrounded by family, friends and plenty of excitement in Bossier City.
Hall chose to spend her special day at Louisiana Downs Casino and the Lucky Palace, where loved ones gathered to honor the centenarian with photos, a proclamation, a toast and birthday wishes.
Hall made sure her four children, extended family and close friends were included in the celebration.
“I couldn’t be any happier and have so many friends and so many people that love me,” Hall said. “What more would you ask for?”
When asked about the secret to living a long life, Hall credited hard work and devotion to family.
“Working hard for children to grow up and to love them,” she said.
After the reading of the proclamation and a celebratory toast with family members, Hall spent part of her birthday enjoying the slot machines at Louisiana Downs.
Family and friends said the celebration reflected Hall’s joyful spirit and the many lives she has touched over the years.
