Bossier City Neighborhood

Ring camera shows Shreveport and Bossier City police officers at the home of Michael Mayence after Shamar Elkins drove to the home, after police say he killed eight children, including seven of his own, on April 19th.

SHREVEPORT, La. — The family of Michael Mayence says Shamar Elkins confessed to killing eight children moments before dying outside the Bossier City veteran’s home, as relatives now work to defend Mayence’s name following his arrest on unrelated federal gun charges.

In an interview with KTBS, Robert Mayence said his brother was the last person to speak with Elkins after the April 19 mass killing in Shreveport’s Cedar Grove neighborhood.
