BOSSIER CITY, La. — The Louisiana Association for the Blind is inviting the community to experience life from a new perspective at its upcoming “Braille and Brew” event.

The annual fundraiser on June 4 at The Chef's Table in Bossier City offers an immersive dining experience where participants are blindfolded and encouraged to rely on their other senses while enjoying food and drinks from local vendors.

“It’s to heighten your other senses — you need to smell it, taste it and touch it because you don’t have your vision,” said Morgan Shug with the organization.

The event also raises awareness about the services offered by the association, which supports visually impaired individuals of all ages across the region.

You can purchase ticket here for $65.
