SHREVEPORT, La. — The Caddo Parish Fire Chiefs Association is asking all residents to voluntarily refrain from any outdoor burning while daytime temperatures exceed 100 degrees.

Extreme heat creates conditions where even a small fire can spread rapidly. By delaying outdoor burning during this period of extreme heat, residents can help reduce the risk of wildfires and protect the area's communities, firefighters, and natural resources.
