MANSFIELD, La.  — DeSoto Parish’s rich historical landscape was in the spotlight during the latest edition of "The Place To Be With Patrick D," as Patrick Dennis explored the newly restored 1843 courthouse.

The segment highlighted the building’s unique history, including its decades spent hidden inside a residential home before being rediscovered in 1981.

The restored courthouse, now located at 401 Polk St., stands as a centerpiece of DeSoto Parish’s commitment to historical tourism and education.
