MARSHALL, Texas - Police in East Texas are searching for a man wanted for an alleged kidnapping after a woman reported escaping from her ex-boyfriend Friday morning.Â
According to the Marshall Police Department, officers responded to the 1300 block of East Pinecrest Drive after receiving a call for a welfare check. Officers found a woman who said she had been kidnapped by Jamichael Brown.Â
Police say the woman was able to escape but Brown ran away before officers arrived.Â
Detectives launched an investigation and later found Brown's vehicle in Greenwood, Louisiana. Authorities from multiple agencies coordinated a search for Brown, but he was not found.Â
Police say Brown is wanted on three felony warrants for violation of bond conditions, assault of a pregnant person and aggravated kidnapping.Â
Brown should be considered armed and dangerous. The public should not approach him.Â
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or the Marshall Police Department.Â
