SHREVEPORT, La - A motorcyclist has died several days after a crash at the intersection of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway and Camilla Drive, according to the Shreveport Police Department.
Officers responded to the crash on Wednesday shortly before 6 p.m. The collision involved a 2018 Lexus sedan and a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle. Preliminary findings indicate the Lexus was traveling through the intersection with a green arrow when it was struck by the motorcycle. The impact ejected the motorcycle rider from the bike.
The rider's injuries were initially believed to be minor. He was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport for treatment.
Police cited the driver of the Lexus for driving with a suspended license.
On Sunday afternoon, crash investigators were notified that the motorcyclist had died at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport due to injuries.
