SHREVEPORT, La. — The Caddo-Bossier Port Commission unveiled a major investment in public safety during its board meeting on Monday, commissioning a new fire engine for Caddo Fire District 5.

The truck, displayed at the Regional Commerce Center, was purchased by the commission to bolster emergency response capabilities for both southeastern Caddo Parish residents and the Port’s critical industrial infrastructure. Officials stated the acquisition recognizes the district’s essential role in managing large-scale emergencies. The new vehicle is expected to significantly enhance the department's readiness to protect the community and support future operations at the Port.
