SHREVEPORT, La. — The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas and North Louisiana is celebrating “Christmas in July” by collecting donations to support families staying near their hospitalized children.

Mission coordinator Lori Morin says the organization is seeking toys, games, books, and comfort items for parents, including eye masks, hand lotion and fuzzy socks.

“Every day is an opportunity to spread a little joy to families who are staying near the care their children need,” Morin said.

Community members can donate items through the organization’s Amazon wish list or drop off donations directly at the Ronald McDonald House throughout July. The charity also accepts year-round donations of household necessities and welcomes volunteers interested in preparing meals for families.

For more information or to donate, visit the Ronald McDonald House Charities website or call (318) 840-9100.
