SHREVEPORT, La. — Shreveport police arrested a man following a fatal shooting in the 8000 block of Line Avenue near the Pines Apartments.
Officers responded to the scene on Thursday and found Breon Brown, 18, unresponsive outside the apartment complex just after 9:10 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives canvassed the area, interviewed witnesses, and followed leads through the night. Their investigation led to Tyrone Thomas, 56, who is now charged with second-degree murder. He remains in the Shreveport City Jail without bond.
Brown's death is the 22nd homicide death in the city this year.
