Caddo drone

SHREVEPORT, La. — Shreveport Police demonstrated a new "drone-as-first-responder" system to the City Council’s Public Safety Committee following a successful two-week pilot program.

During the trial, two drones completed 127 flights, arriving at dispatched calls before police officers 74% of the time. Officials say the technology drastically improves response times, provides crucial real-time intelligence, and helps determine if a physical police presence is even necessary.
