"We are thrilled to welcome families back to our pools for another exciting summer season," said Shelly Ragle, director of SPAR. "These facility improvements represent our commitment to providing safe, accessible, and enjoyable recreational opportunities for residents of all ages. Swimming is not only a fun summer activity, but it also promotes health, wellness, and community connection."
Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux said the pool improvements are another example of the city's ongoing investment in quality-of-life amenities for residents.
"Our community pools are important gathering places where families create memories, children stay active, and neighbors come together," Mayor Tom Arceneaux said. "The improvements made to these facilities will enhance safety and reliability while ensuring our residents have access to quality recreational opportunities throughout the summer. We look forward to celebrating these openings and seeing our pools filled with families enjoying all that Shreveport has to offer."
SPAR staff worked throughout the offseason to prepare the facilities for opening day, ensuring each pool meets standards of safety and operation.
