BATON ROUGE, La. - Louisiana State Superintendent Cade Brumley called on school leaders to maintain strict classroom discipline and enforce anti-bullying laws in a letter sent to local superintendents Monday.

Brumley wrote that unruly classrooms and disruptive students hinder learning and damage the academic environment for all children. He urged principals and teachers to maintain orderly learning spaces as the new school year approaches.
