SHREVEPORT, La. - More than 2,000 SWEPCO customers remain without power early Wednesday morning following severe storms that swept through the region earlier in the week.
The vast majority of the lingering outages are concentrated in Caddo Parish, where more than 1,800 customers were still in the dark as of 3:30 a.m.
Representatives emphasize that crews remain focused on working safely while trying to restore power as quickly as possible.
To expedite the recovery efforts, extra personnel have been called into the hardest-hit areas. In addition to on-site and on-premise contractors already working the lines, additional help has been mobilized from across the company's broader service territory.
