SHREVEPORT, La. – Drivers should prepare for traffic delays in South Shreveport starting next week as road construction limits access to a major intersection.
Beginning Monday at 8 a.m., crews will close the inside lanes of Linwood Avenue at the intersection of Lynbrook Boulevard to facilitate roadway reconstruction.
The closure will significantly alter traffic patterns for motorists traveling through the area. During this phase of the project, vehicles on Lynbrook Boulevard will not be permitted to cross over Linwood Avenue. Instead, drivers on Lynbrook Boulevard will be restricted to making right turns only onto Linwood Avenue.
To help navigate the construction zone, drivers can utilize the existing crossovers located just north and south of Lynbrook Boulevard.
City officials anticipate the intersection restrictions will remain in place for approximately three weeks to allow for the completion of the roadwork. The project timeline is dependent on weather conditions.Â
