TEXARKANA, Texas -Texarkana Harley-Davidson honored America's 250th birthday at the Stars, Stripes and Service event on Saturday.
Several active-duty military men and women, veterans and first responders were treated to tacos and received challenge points and a coupon in appreciation for their service.
"We always like to have something going on where people can hang out," said Marketing and Events Manager Sarah Morales. "We're not just a store that sells things; it's also like a culture, so we always like to have something where people can just hang out, and so we wanted to do something small to celebrate the anniversary as well as honor people that help us every day, military and first responders."Â
Â
Harley-Davidson, Inc. is running a campaign and sweepstakes, Rolling Sturgis to Milwaukee, which is the birthplace of the original bike shop.
Â
Next Saturday, Texarkana Harley-Davidson will host a one-day-only event to meet Jesse James Dupree and register for a chance to win a three-day trip to the Ride Home in Milwaukee, including an Eaglerider rental and a $1,000 shopping spree.
