TEXARKANA, Texas - The city of Wake Village hosted America's 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.Â
The Fourth of July festival has become an annual event in King Park.Â
Â
The fireworks show was free to all spectators.Â
Â
"It's a great family atmosphere, This has been in the works for months," said Wake Village police Sgt. Chris Cobb. "We've got food trucks and vendors and we've got a lot of different things going on, live music, DJ, so everybody's out just having a good time, enjoying the nice weather as well, because the heat finally gave us a little break after the rain came through, so, it looks like it's going to be a wonderful night for a fireworks show."

Red River Credit Union is the sponsor of this year's celebration.Â
