DEARBORN — History informs the judicial branch’s understanding of the law, so it was a special treat Monday for three Michigan Supreme Court justices to get a private guided tour of The Henry Ford, visiting the iconic launching pad for the Selma to Montgomery marches of the 1960s and pouring over the original versions of America’s foundational documents.

On the tour was Chief Justice Megan Cavanagh, Justice Kimberly Thomas and Justice Elizabeth Welch, with other staff and members of the State Court Administrative Office in tow.
