A CNN report this week sheds new light on the brutal tactics and alleged deceptions of immigration agents during Operation Metro Surge, when some 3,000 feds were sent to Minnesota in what the Department of Homeland Security called its biggest enforcement operation ever.

“The prosecutors in the U.S. attorney’s office, who had previously as a matter of course trusted the accounts of law enforcement officers when they brought (assaults on federal officer cases) to their office, had seen many of the immigration agents’ complaints proved to have been downright false when evidence was presented,” reports CNN anchor Jake Tapper.
