Extreme Heat Advisories are in effect through 9 pm tonight / 2 AM tomorrow in the Bozeman, Great Falls, Glasgow, and Jordan areas. Livingston, Billings, Miles City, and Sheridan are under Extreme Heat Warnings through midnight/ 2 AM.Â
A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect for Fort Peck Lake Tuesday to Wednesday. Gusts could reach 35 mph in this region, with incoming thunderstorms. Flood Watches are in place for Tuesday from Great Falls and Lewistown to Helena and Bozeman. Incoming storms are forecast to bring heavy bursts of rain, potentially causing flash flooding. Lows tonight are projected to dip to the 60s and 70s in most of the region.Â
Highs tomorrow bounce back to the 90s and 100s. Hot weather safety tips include staying shaded and hydrated, always checking the back seat of parked/ off vehicles, checking in on neighbors and family, tending to livestock/ outdoor pets, ensuring trailer chains do not drag, and not starting a car on dry grass.
