BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Battle Ridge Fire, which ignited Thursday to the west of Highway 86 near Brackett Creek Trailhead, has spread to an estimated size of roughly 3 acres, according to officials with Custer Gallatin National Forest.

Members of the public are urged to avoid the Brackett Creek Trail area as firefighters work around the scene of the blaze.

Custer Gallatin National Forest officials noted that 2 engines have responded, as well as personnel from volunteer fire departments and local fire resources.
