With President Jane Karas wrapping up a 25-year tenure at Flathead Valley Community College at the end of the year, the search for her replacement is well under way.
On Wednesday, the college announced it is moving forward with four candidates who will visit campus in September to meet with faculty, employees and the community.
The four finalists include:
J. Mark Browning: President and CEO of Blue Mountain Community College,
Daniel R. Czech: Dean of the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Mississippi,
Andrew R. Fields: CEO of the University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene
Deborah Kish Stephan: Campus President of the Brandon Campus of Hillsborough College
The four candidates will visit campus Sept. 14-17, in the order listed above, with each taking a full day to meet with members of the campus and greater Flathead community.
Each day there will be a community forum held at 8 a.m. in the Waccholz Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in room 128.
Faculty and employees of FVCC will be able to meet the candidates at forums later in the day.
