On July 3, crews handled 20 medical calls, six false alarms, three public service calls and one hazardous situation.
The two structure fires started after people threw away fireworks in dumpsters next to detached garages, according to Great Falls Fire Rescue. The burning dumpsters then spread fire to the nearby structures.
In one case, a garage had exterior damage. In the other, a detached garage had heavy fire damage. Great Falls Fire Rescue said the homes were not damaged in either fire.
The agency said information about any citations or enforcement actions was not available at the time of the release.
