The Meadow Gold plant in Billings is facing a proposed suspension as a result of repeated violations of state rules related to the pasteurization of milk that may have caused "premature milk spoilage," according to Montana Department of Livestock Public Relations Officer Riley Meredith.

Meredith wrote that the Livestock Department issued a Notice of Proposed License Suspension and Opportunity for Hearing to DFA Dairy Brands Fluid, LLC, which does business as Meadow Gold (Billings), for repeated violations of the state's Pasteurized Milk Ordinance.
