A man was killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 90 south of Deer Lodge early Saturday morning, according to Montana Highway Patrol.
The rollover crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. on I-90 near mile marker 197, close to the Galen exit.
The driver of a Subaru Legacy was traveling westbound on I-90 when the vehicle drifted off the right side of the road as it attempted to negotiate a curve to the left.
According to a Montana Highway Patrol report, the driver overcorrected back to the left, causing the vehicle to rotate counterclockwise and slide sideways into the median. As it slid up the eastbound side of the median, it rolled and slid across the eastbound lanes before coming to a stop upright on the MM 197 eastbound on-ramp.
The single occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation, according to MHP.
