A man was booked into the Missoula County Detention Center just before midnight on Monday on three felony charges relating to a standoff incident in Seeley Lake that drew a large law enforcement response, including the Missoula SWAT Team.
Benji Joe Allen, 49, is facing felony charges of aggravated assault, intimidation and criminal mischief. He is also facing a misdemeanor charge of partner/family member assault with no weapon, first offense.
More than 22 police, fire and EMS vehicles were on site on Willow Drive at approximately 7 p.m. in Seeley Lake on Monday.
On Wednesday, a Missoula County District Court judge granted a woman who lives in Seeley Lake a temporary order of protection that bars Allen from getting within 1,500 feet of her. Â
The woman's petition that requested the order claimed that Allen had threatened to shoot her and break her neck, and said he had a "very bad drinking problem."
