Randy Winstead spent the bulk of his Butte career working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

While the job was at times stressful, Winstead said it was rewarding.

When Randy Winstead first came to Butte 54 years ago, he got a job as an underground miner. Memories of his first job led him to write a book about his experiences, "Not My Time to Die."

Glance Into the Past

The Leonard and East Colusa mine yards are featured here, as well as the popular Meaderville gym, which was built by the Anaconda Co., for the Young Man’s Club. Events that were held there included boxing, basketball, and dances.
