As Montana sheriffs with decades of experience protecting our communities, we know what real support for law enforcement looks like. We have worked alongside federal prosecutors, coordinated task forces against drug trafficking, violent crime, and internet crimes against children. We have seen firsthand which leaders deliver real results.
That is why we are proud to endorse Kurt Alme for the United States Senate — and why we believe he is the strongest choice for every Montanan who values public safety, stands with the men and women in uniform, and believes in law and order.
Kurt Alme is not a career politician. He is a proven prosecutor who has spent years tirelessly fighting crime right here in Montana. Twice nominated by President Trump and confirmed as United States Attorney for Montana, Kurt worked with us against the threats that hit our counties hardest. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney and later as U.S. Attorney, he stood shoulder-to-shoulder every day with federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement across this state. Kurt treated us as true partners.
As U.S. Attorney, Kurt focused the office on violent criminals and drug traffickers. Under his leadership last year, federal prosecutions reached a 20-year high, and violent crime dropped in Montana because the worst offenders were taken off the street and locked up. Those are not press release numbers. Those are safer streets for Montana families, achieved because Kurt partnered with our offices, prioritized the worst offenders, and brought aggressive prosecutions.
In Montana, we back the blue and ensure law enforcement have the resources they need to do the job. Kurt has lived that standard.
As Montana’s next U.S. Senator, we are confident that Kurt will fight for the priorities that matter most: keeping the border secure, prosecuting and deporting dangerous illegal aliens, locking up violent criminals, investigating drug trafficking organizations and cartels and ripping them out by the roots, and expanding drug prevention and treatment to shrink demand and restore drug users to their families.
From working with Kurt at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, we know he will have our backs. As the leader of federal law enforcement in Montana, we worked well together. We look forward to continuing that strong partnership when he is in the Senate. He has the experience and the integrity to stand for law and order.
We urge every Montanan to join us in supporting Kurt Alme. He has earned our trust. He will earn yours.
