More than 30 Montana teachers and school staff from across the state lined up to talk about their experiences working in classrooms and to advocate for higher pay to state education leaders in Helena last week.

The teachers from more than a dozen districts across the state spoke on Wednesday about physical violence from students, chronic understaffing in schools and the impact of low wages as costs continue to rise on themselves and their colleagues.
