LIVINGSTON, Mont. — Park County Search and Rescue teams had a busy stretch, responding to three separate incidents over the past week in the Livingston area.
A hiker was rescued from Suce Creek Trail, an overdue hiker in the Tom Miner Basin area walked out safely after a night in the backcountry, and a man was pulled from the Yellowstone River near Mission Creek and transported to the hospital, Park County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) said in a release.
The sheriff's office said the Livingston Fire Rescue and the patrol division used a wheeled carrier to bring the woman from the Suce Creek Trail to a waiting ambulance.
On July 18, the office reported an overdue hiker in the Tom Miner Basin area after he climbed Sheep Mountain and did not return. After spending the night in the backcountry, he walked out
The most recent call came in during the afternoon of July 19, when 911 dispatch received a report of a man in the Yellowstone River near Mission Creek. The sheriff's office said he had become separated from his group, was found downstream and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
The sheriff's office thanked the agencies that helped, including Livingston Fire Rescue, Park County Rural Fire, the U.S. Forest Service, Park County deputy sheriffs and Park County Sheriff's Search and Rescue.
