It's been nearly 30 nears since the murder of Seeley Lake Resident, Clifford Lee Nelson, and the Missoula County Sheriff's Office cold case unit is still looking to identify his killer.
SEELEY LAKE, Mont. — Nearly 30 years after the killing of Seeley Lake resident Clifford Lee Nelson, the Missoula County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Unit said it was still working to identify who shot him.
Investigators said Nelson was killed in the early morning hours of September 30, 1996, inside his home in Seeley Lake.
Nelson was an elementary school teacher. He lived on the north side of Redwood Lane just east of Pine Street.
Missoula County investigators said they believed some people may still have information that could help solve the case.
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at (406) 721-4444.
Investigators said callers could potentially receive a cash reward.Â
