(Carolina Journal) – North Carolina’s education leaders spent their first meeting since the state budget became law questioning how two of the Legislature’s highest-profile education moves will work in practice.

The topics came up at Thursday's virtual meeting of the State Board of Education. Staff from the Department of Public Instruction briefed the board on the budget Gov. Josh Stein signed two days earlier and a slate of newly enacted legislation.

The post State board questions voucher reinvestment, new DEI law appeared first on Carolina Journal. The Carolina Journal is a publication of the John Locke Foundation.
