BURTON – The Burton Lady Panthers continued their positive play on Tuesday in a four-set victory (25-20, 24-26, 25-19, 26-24) over Fayetteville at Burton High School.
Burton (9-2) played its first best-of-five-set match of the season after playing 10 best-of-three matches to begin the season. Tuesday also marked the Lady Panthers’ eighth win in their last nine matches.

Burton will play up against a field of Class 5A and 6A schools at the Waller tournament beginning on Thursday. The Lady Panthers will start tournament play at 8 a.m. Thursday with a doubleheader that includes matches against Cypress Woods and Willis.
