MARSHALL, La. -- The Marshall Police Department and investigative partners made a second arrest in connection with the early Saturday morning shooting in Marshall that left two people dead and two others injured.

Jamarrio Dominique Epps, 21, of Longview, has been arrested and charged with murder. Epps was taken into custody by the Longview Police Department SWAT team on a Marshall Police Department arrest warrant.
Previously, Marshall Police arrested Davion McDale Brown, 19, who was charged with capital murder in connection with the same incident.
Both are now being held in the Harrison County Detention Center.
The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday in the Whataburger parking lot. Brothers James Morrow, 20, and Jassiah Hill, 18, died at the scene. The who who were injured were taken to a hospital.
Marshall Police Department Criminal Investigations Division detectives, along with investigators from the Joint Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force, have continued working the case with assistance from multiple partner agencies, including the Harrison County District Attorney’s Office, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division, Texas Rangers, and the Longview Police Department.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional arrests or charges may be forthcoming.

MARSHALL, Texas - An East Texas community is mourning two brothers who were killed in a weekend shooting.
James Morrow, 20, and Jassiah Hill, 18, were fatally shot outside a Whataburger early Saturday morning.
Two others were wounded and taken to local hospitals.
Friends, family and community members remain shaken as detectives investigate what led to the shooting.
“Pray for those families. They need it like never before,” said Demetria McFarland, founder of Marshall Against Violence.
“I’ll always love them, and I’ll miss them dearly. There are no words anyone can say to bring them back,” said James Morrow Sr., the father of Hill and Morrow.
Police have arrested Davion Brown of Dallas in connection with the shooting.
