Flock Cameras

TEXARKANA, Texas — Residents concerned about privacy and government surveillance urged the Texarkana City Council to disable Flock Safety cameras and suspend the city's contract with the company during a recent council meeting.

Citizens speaking before the council argued that the growing use of automated license plate reader technology poses risks to privacy and data security, despite law enforcement agencies' claims that the cameras help solve crimes and locate suspects.
