(The Center Square) - A fight over food and finances between Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson and the City Council is causing tense relations, with Wilson rejecting a new plan by three council members to fund her taxpayer-funded plan to provide universal school meals to Seattle children.

On Thursday, Wilson questioned whether a new plan by three city council members to use city funds to provide universal breakfast and lunch to Seattle schoolchildren while also providing meals to low-income families during summer and holidays was financially feasible.
