(The Center Square) - The Washington State Attorney General’s Office has filed the public investment impact disclosure for the initiative that seeks to repeal Washington’s new income tax, which one critic says amounts to "scare tactics."

Passed during the 2026 session and signed into law by Governor Bob Ferguson, IP26-645 created a 9.9% tax on income above $1 million, or combined household income above that amount.
